JJ Redick's Early Career

Jonathan Clay "JJ" Redick (born June 24, 1984) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Redick was a highly recruited prospect coming out of high school and had a stellar four-year career with the Duke Blue Devils.

Accomplishments at Duke

During his time at Duke, Redick was a two-time All-American and was named the ACC Player of the Year in 2006. He was also a USBWA All-District III honoree and started 30 of 33 games as a senior.

Redick's senior season was his most impressive, as he averaged 15.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He was a key contributor to Duke's NCAA Tournament run that season, which ended in the Final Four.

JJ Redick's NBA Career

Redick was selected 11th overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2006 NBA draft. He played for the Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Dallas Mavericks during his 15-year NBA career.

Redick was known for his three-point shooting ability, and he ranks 10th in NBA history in three-pointers made. He also holds the NBA record for most consecutive three-pointers made with 11.

Redick retired from the NBA in 2021 after winning the NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks.
